Care You Can Count On
St. John’s Hospital Camarillo is one of the largest employers in Camarillo, and it currently falls under the respected umbrella of Dignity Health. Originally known as Pleasant Valley Hospital, the esteemed facility is home to the only hyperbaric medicine unit and the first-ever cardiac catheterization lab in Ventura County. Along with its sister hospital in Oxnard, St. John’s Regional Medical Center, it represents the county’s largest acute health care organization.
Dignity Health also operates St. John’s Regional Medical Center. The 365-bed, acute care facility in nearby Oxnard has been named a Top 250 hospital by Healthgrades. It is also a respected leader in stroke care and ranks as the lone Certified Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center in Ventura County.
Los Robles Regional Medical Center, just nine miles away in Thousand Oaks, is home to the only Level II Trauma Center in the eastern area of Ventura County. Los Robles is well-known for its cardiac care and orthopedic and spine surgery.
Specialty health care centers and highly sophisticated hospitals nearby (but farther out) include UCLA Medical Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center.
